5 from Nongshamei MMA and Fitness Centre ready for Cochin Fight Night

Imphal, September 09 2025: 5 athletes from Nongshamei Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness Centre are ready for the amateur kickboxing events in the Cochin Fight Night slated to begin from September 13 at Sion Auditorium, Kochi in Kerala.

The athletes who will be representing Manipur from the centre are Ningthoujam Sinivas (U45 kg for junior boys), Heisnam Nelin Singh (U50 for junior boys), Thangjam Lanchenba (U55 kg for junior boys), Chongtham Ashwinikumar (U75 kg for above 18 years), and Ningthoujam Martina (below 60 kg for junior girls).

They will be led by Master Ch Premchandra as team coach cum manager, said Nongshamei Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness Centre in a release.

The team will be flagged off tomorrow in the presence of many eminent personalities.

The Nongshamei Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness Centre also welcomed State Kala Akademi awardee Athokpam Ojendro, Senapati Sana Konung as a new member of the technical advisory committee of the centre.

The centre expressed hope that it can progress and achieve new heights under the guidance and advice of the seasoned Thang-Ta coach who had worked with the Youth Affairs and Sports Department and is the president of Thang-Ta Loisang, Sana Konung; advisor of All Instructors Manipur Martial Arts Association.
