Imphal, September 06 2025: Penaching DC overcame Liwa Sarei YC by 13-12 goals to progress into the quarterfinals of the Chandel Trophy 2nd Divn Football Football Tournament organised by DSA Chandel.

Penaching DC and Liwa Sarei YC played out a 4-4 draw in the regulation time before Penaching DC won 9-8 in the shoot-out to seal the 13-12 win and earn the quarterfinal berth.

Angdeensha (3'), Cleverson (17', 39') and Santa (72') scored for Penaching DC in the regulation time as Mitchelda (38'), Ngachonmi (42'), Tharmi (63') and Thomningchung (82') fought back to salvage a 4-4 regulation time draw.

In the penalty shoot-out that was further extended to sudden death, Kodeenpha, Lungamchou, Edeenchung, Kenbika, Kotenfun, Kenbika, Mochungsang, Angdeensha and Kenbika scored it for Penaching DC as Thotthot, Angningjoy, Ngamphasing, Mitchelpa, Rezener, Chihanshing, Kokpurpa and Monortin found the target for Liwa Sarei YC .
