46th Masters' Athletics Championship : A Sangeeta wins 1500 m race gold for 45+ women

Imphal, October 05 2025: Ashangbam Sangeeta Devi won the women's45+category 1500m race gold on the second day of the 46th Masters' Athletics Championship organised by the Manipur Masters Athletics Association at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.

A Sangeeta clocked 3:21.59 to win the race as P Memory finished second with a time of 9:15.76 .

Thingbaijam Shanti meanwhile sealed the 55+ category 1500 m race title with a time of 7:57.94 as W Shanti clocked 11:10.96; Wangkheimayum Subita Devi clocked 8:24.16 and Thoudam Akasini clocked 9:45.73 to claim the 60+, 70+ and 75+ category titles.

10000 m race

Nahakpam Nilbeer claimed the men's 35+ category 10000 m race gold as he completed the course in 44:24.99 as Soraisham Romeo bagged 40+ category gold with a time of 50:21.52 .

Bikram Lukram meanwhile took 44:15.45 to win the 45+ category gold as Yumnam Achouba clocked 52:43.65; Sukham Janendro clocked 51:01.27 and Thoudam Nabakumar clocked 1:00:48 to seal the 60+, 65+ and 75+ category gold medal.
