Emphatic win for SAI-RC at 42nd Junior State Level Handball Tournament

SAI-RC, Takyel posted an emphatic 25-7 win against Citizen Club, Soibam Leikai in a girls clash of the 42nd Junior State Level Handball Tournament which got underway since September 3 at YLK Chingarel Tezpur Handball Ground under the aegis of Manipur Handball Association.
The tournament organised in double legged basis is featuring 5 girl teams and 4 boy teams.
The first match of the girls competition saw SAI-RC, Takyel sealed a huge 25-7 win through 5 goals from Th Geetanjali, 4 goals from Kh Tondonbi, 3 goals from A Rosini Devi, 5 goals from Y Rojiya Devi and 6 goals from Th Angoubi Devi.
Th Anjubala scored 6 goals and H Jenita added a single for the Citizen Club.
In the second match of the same competition, YLK, Chingarel got better of BBA, Mayang Imphal by 13-1 goals.
K Sonia scored 6 goals in this one sided match while Th Kabita netted 5 goals before S Sanatombi and W Chaoba scored one goal each.
The lone goal of the Mayang side was struck by A Bebe.
In another match, Citizen Club defeated BBA by 14-08 goals in a slightly one sided match.
Th Anjubala and Th Jenita scored 5 goals each while H Jenita scored 4 goals to ensure Citizen Club's 14-8 win while Ch Inunganbi and L Renika scored three goals each for the Mayang Imphal side before I Sanjana and A Bebe made one goal each.
Citizen Club continued their fine performance and sealed another huge 19-14 win over YLK.
SAI-RC also beat BBA by 11-3 goals in another match .
Kh Tondonbi led the scoring for SAI-RC making a total of 6 goals while Th Angoubi and Ksh Bandana struck two goals each and O Ranjita made a single.
L Ashalata netted 2 goals for BBA and L Remika scored a single.
Boys Competition
YLK topped Citizen Club 23-17 in a match of the boys competition before registering 22-13 win over PC, Top Khongnangkhong in another match.
Bikramjit shone in the match scoring 11 goals alone against the Soibam Leikai side while Rajeshwor added 6 goals.
H Michael also made his way for three goals while Kh Nepolean, L Beckham and Silheiba Th scored one goal each to make it 23-17 at the end.
Y Ortega and W Rohit scored 5 goals each for the Citizen Club while M Rohit added 3 goals before T Chingkheinganba and Arish Sharma scored two goals each.
Bikramjit continued to take the centre stage in the next match against PC and scored 8 goals before Kh Nepolean made 4 goals.
K Rajeshore and L Beckham also scored 3 goals each while H Michael netted two goals before K Athouba and Silheiba scored 1 goal each.
PC's goals were scored by E Priyokumar (8), Sharukh Khan (3) and Ksh Manoranjan (2).PC however came back in another match and beat BBA by 13-11 goals.
