45th Junior Boys' State Level Volleyball Championship begins

Imphal, August 30 2025: The 45th edition of Junior Boys State Level Championship got underway at NYVA ground, Nambol Naorem under the aegis of the All Manipur Volleyball Association.

13 teams clubbed into 4 groups are in the fray for the top honour of the championship.

The opening day of the championship saw AMIMYDO, Mayang Imphal securing two straight victories in the Group A competition.

AMIMYDO defeated UNT, Top Siphai in straight sets (25-23, 25-23, 25-23) in the championship opener that was keenly contested before defeating PRSC, Pourabi 25-21, 26-24, 20-25, 25-15 for the second victory.

In another Group A match, PRSC beat EAGLE, Ukhrul 25-16, 25-14, 25-20 .

In the Group B opening match staged today DVA, Thoubal beat YPC, Ishok 25-23, 25-23, 25-10 before MRC, Mairenkhong got the better of SLC, Maibam 25-15, 25-15, 25-13 .

The championship was formally opened in the presence of K Somorjit, Assistant Prof, Department of Philosophy, SK Women's College, Nambol; Seram Jatishwor, Assistant Prof, Department of Philosophy, SK Women's College; social worker Oinam Rajen and Oinam Inao, Headmaster i/c, Naorem Junior High School, Naorem.
