Masters Table Tennis Tournament concludes

Imphal, August 28 2024: The Masters Table Tennis Tournament, organised by Youth Affairs & Sports Manipur in the run-up to National Sports Day 2024, wrapped up on the second day of the competition, with six title matches decided on Wednesday.

L Bikra, L Sumila, Th Dhamundra, pairs of Munindro Soram & L Bikram, M Iboton & Ch Radhakhrishna, and Ch Mamita Chanu & L Sumila Devi triumphed in their respective final matches played at Indoor Stadium, DM Uni-versity Campus.

L Bikra beat Munindro Soram 7-11 11-4 11-7 11-1 11-8 to win the 40+ men's singles event.

L Sumila clinched the women's singles title after defeating A Sanatombi Devi 11-3 11-6 11-3 in their summit clash.

Th Dhamundra, on the other hand, got the better of M Iboton in the final of the 50+ men's singles event.

In the men's doubles competition, the duo of Munindro Soram and L Bikram downed L Upendra and K Brojen to win the 40+ men's doubles crown, while the Iboton-Radhakhrishna pair outplayed Th Dhamendra and S Bishwajeet to win the 50+ men's doubles title.

In the women's doubles final, Ch Maita and Chanu beat N Sushila Devi and L Bino.

The closing ceremony was attended by Takhellambam Phulen Meitei, director YAS, Ningthoujam Parithoihen, senior finance officer YAS, and Thounaojam Jayanta Singh, honorary secretary Manipur Table Tennis Association, as chief guest, guest of honour and president, respectively.
