Thokchom Tompok of MKBA produced a dominating performance to cruise into the Elite Men's 50 kg category final in the ongoing 3rd Governor's Cup Boxing Championship.
Thokchom Tompok overwhelmed Angom Naresh of PBA 5-0 via unanimous decision to confirm his final ticket before SRBA's Laishram Jackson edged out SAI-Utlou's Sinam Alter 3-2 via split decision in a 70 kg category semi-final bout.
Moirangthem Milner Meitei of MBA also notched up a 3-2 win over PBA's Takhelmayum Herison via split decision to set up the final date with Laishram Jackson.
U-19 Men
The day also saw Keisham Thoungamba of SAI-Imphal set up the U-19 Men's 65 kg category final date with Laishram Mangasana of NBA.
Thoungamba won 3-2 via split decision against Thingom Rishi in a semi-final clash before L Mangansana sealed an RSC win in the first round against Takhellambam Malem of PBA .
Thokchom Thoiba of MBA meanwhile will lock horns with Chingrihor Shatshang of MKBA in the U-19 Men's 50 kg title clash.
Thoiba outlasted Bikash Yengkhom 3-2 in the first semi-final match before Hijam Malemnganba of NBA abandoned the other semi-final bout in the second round against Chingrihor.
U-17 Boys
Samom Punshiba will face off against Yengkhom Abinash of SAI-Imphal in the U-17 Boys 66 kg category title clash as they posted RSC wins today in their semi-final matches.
Samom Punshiba registered the RSC win against Bidyachandra Oinam in the third round before Y Abinash pulled off a similar win against Ngairinmi Gochulwo of SRBA in another semi-final bout.
In the 63 kg category semifinal bouts, Khundom Lanchenba of NSA beat MKBA's Ngathingshang Valui 4-1 and Ongtham Arnold got a walkover win against PBA's Takhelmayum Thomas.
Salam Diamond of NSA, meanwhile earned a 5-0 win over SAI-Imphal's S Robertson in a 57 kg category semi-final to set up a final date with MKBA's Laishram Lanthoiba outlasted Kh Mangai of SRBA 4-1 in another semi-final bout.
U-15 Boys
In the semi-final bouts for U-15 Boys' 58 kg category, Bogimayum Mustaque Ahmad of MSBA and RK Athoisana pulled off 5-0 win against N Khengba of MKBA and Kh Robert to complete the final line up.
Shangmei Khayi of SRBA meanwhile thumped NBA's Th Deepankar 4-1 to set up a 61 kg category final date with Lukhram Lilmani of MKBA who prevailed 5-0 over NSA's L Punshiba in another semi-final clash.
Thokchom Nitish of PKBA meanwhile overwhelmed MBA's Ch Yoihenba 5-0 to set up the 64 kg category title clash with Oinam Santiraj, who edged out MKBA's Laimujam Beiraba 3-2 in another semifinal clash.
Pheiroijam Bigsin of MKBA meanwhile earned a walkover win against T Adison of PBA to set up the 67 kg category final date with SAI-Utlou's Khamnam Rojesh who won 5-0 against MSBA's Chesam Jayed in another semi-final clash.
