Imphal, June 25 2009: The United Progressive Adult Association (UPAA), Kyamgei organised a reception function today to felicitate its fencers who won the third position by winning 15 medals in the recent 5th Governor's Cup State Level Fencing Championship, 2009 orgnised by the Manipur Fencing Association this month.

The function was held at the residence of UPAA President, Yadovchandra Haobam at Kyamgei Awang Leikai.

It may be recalled that UPAA won six gold, four silver and five bronze medals in the championship and won the third place.

They won Soraisam Ronika Devi Memorial Running Trophy for Sub-Junior Boys' team champion's title.

As compared to other teams' large number of fencers, UPAA's 15 fencers who participated the championship bagged 15 medals.

N Solik won gold in junior boys' sabre and bronze in senior men's sabre event.S Roshan won gold in both junior and cadet boys' epee events.

N Samson won bronze in cadet boys' epee event.

T Malem won bronze in cadet boys' sabre event.

P Jugolchandra won gold in sub junior boys' foil event.

S Chinglemba won gold in sub junior boys' epee event.

S Amuba won silver in sub junior boys' sabre event, Kumarjit won bronze in sub-junior boys' fol event.

H Leimarenbi won gold in sub junior girls' foil event.

H Linthoi won silver in sub junior girls' epee event and bronze in cadet girls' epee event.

S Hiron won silver in sub-junior girls' and cadet girls' sabre event.
