Imphal, February 25 2025: TCMDC, Thongju completed group (B) stage sweep in the 12th Manipur Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament with a 9-run win over NAPSA, Kha Imphal today at Langthabal Public Ground.

TCMDC, who are unbeaten in the league stage, racked up 151 for 2 wickets after electing to bat first and restricted NAPSA to 142 to seal the 9-run victory.

O Gulshannanda scored an unbeaten 52 off 53 balls for TCMDC as L Krishna was unbeaten on 49 off 35 balls.

Th Tarun also added 36 off 31 balls to help TCMDC post a total of 151 runs.

T Gopal (1/23) and T Bhogendro (1/22) claimed a wicket apiece for NAPSA in the first innings before T Bhogendro 40 off 35 balls, Ratan 35 off 25 balls and L Premananda 22 off 19 balls led the chase.

Kh Bijesh returned with the best bowling figures of 3/23 for TCMDC as L Krishna picked up two wickets (2/19) and Brajakumar and N Sanjit claimed a wicket apiece.

In another Group B match staged later in the day, ESU, Wangkhei beat BSC-B, Brahmapur Sangai Chuthek by 7 wickets.

Toss winners BSC-B were restricted to 103/7 in the first innings before ESU cruised to winning 105/3 in 14.4 overs riding on Robin 22 off 18 balls and K Naresh Sharma 25 off 23 balls.

A Jayadeva Sharma 27 and H Sobhananda 15 were unbeaten as BSC ended their innings at 103 as Rajesh K (2/17) and Sh Pari (2/8) led the frugal ESU bowling attack.

For BSC-B, A Jayadeva picked up two wickets (2/20) while Purnanda claimed the other wicket.
