4th MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy : RK Linthoingambi, Koijam Ranjita guide PTRC to 125-run victory

RK Linthoingambi produced a masterful knock of 105 runs off just 69 deliveries and Koijam Ranjita hit a half century to inspire PTRC, Patsoi a huge 125 run victory against SHADOW, Thangmeiband in the fourth match of the 4th MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy.
SHADOW chose to field first at THAU ground after winning the toss only to see PTRC pile up a commendable total of 253 runs for 6 wickets in 30 overs.
PTRC then restricted them to 128 runs for 7 wickets in response to seal their first win after the opening game loss to THAU.

Asked to bat first, PTRC had a solid start with the opening pair of Koijam Ranjita (86 off 61 balls; 12 fours and 3 sixes) and RK Linthoingambi taking (105 off 69 balls; 20 fours) on SHADOW bowlers and forged a remarkable total of 179 in 17.1 overs and laid the foundation of the huge total.
Linthoingambi played second fiddle in the early proceedings as Ranjita made the most of the strikes and completed her half century with a single in the 1st delivery of the 10th over.
The duo then took PTRC past the 100-run mark in the 11th over before Linthoingambi hit Yambem Joshi for a four in the fourth delivery of the 15th over to complete her half century (off 39 balls) before taking the team to 150 two balls later.
They kept the scoreboard ticking until Ranjita holed out to Sapam Kebriya off H Malemnganbi's first delivery of the 18th over.
Linthoingambi, held on despite losing incoming Thokchom Loidangton and Laitonjam Benita cheaply, and struck medium pacer Priyanshee Hanglem for a four to deep extra cover to make 103 in 64 balls.
She was however bowled out for 105 runs in the 69th delivery she faced as the scoreboard read 238 (in 26.2 overs) .
Kebriya Sapam returned with the best bowling figures of 3/34 in 5 overs as Priyanshee, Victoria and Malemnganbi finished with a wicket apiece.
Chasing the big total, SHADOW put up a good show early on but the departure of the opening batters- L Viviene 14 off 43 balls and Kebriya (43 off 51 balls) after they gathered 77 runs for the first wicket in 14.1 overs marked the turning point of the chase.
Koijam Ranjita (2/9 in 6 overs) and Laitonjam Purnima (2/12 in 3 overs) were the most successful bowlers for PTRC as RK Linthoingambi and Laitonjam Linthoi picked up a wicket apiece.
Koijam Ranjita was adjudged player of the match.
