49th Senior Men's State Level Volleyball : YMDO vs AMIMYDO in title clash

Imphal, September 23 2025: YMDO, Heirangoithong will lock horns with AMIMYDO, Mayang Imphal in the title clash of the 49th Senior Men's State Level Volleyball Tournament being organised by the All Manipur Volleyball Association at Khuman Lampak.

AMIMYDO reached the final with a 25-21, 28-26, 25-22 win over HVA, Heigrujam in the first semi-final match staged this afternoon.

YMDO in the meantime upstaged MPSC 25-21, 25-18, 25-23 in the second semi-final match to set up the final date with AMIMYDO.

Earlier in the quarterfinal matches, AMIMYDO edged out NSU 25-18, 28-26, 22-25, 25-20; MPSC outlasted NYVA, Naorem 25-19, 25-22, 25-23; YMDO outlasted DVA, Thoubal 25-15, 25-15, 25-23 and HVA edged out SSC, Senapati 20-25, 25-17, 25-22, 18-25, 15-9 .

The day also saw completion of the final line up for the 29th Sub-Junior Boys' State Level Volleyball Tournament.

DVA, Thoubal will lock square off against AMIMYDO, Mayang Imphal in the title clash of the 12 team Sub-Junior Boys' State Level Volleyball Tournament.

DVA reached the final with a 25-19, 25-19, 25-17 win over YPC, Ishok while AMIMYDO overcame HVA, Heigrujam 25-19, 32-30, 25-23 .

Earlier in the day, YPC entered the semi-finals with a 25-23, 21-25, 25-22, 20-25, 15-13 win over NYVA, Naorem today as AMIMYDO thumped PVA, Pourabi in straight sets (25-22, 25-16, 25-19) .

HVA in the meantime eased to a 25-16, 25-15, 25-16 win over PASI, Kamjong to book his place in the semifinal before DVA, Thoubal overcame UNT, Top Siphai 27-25, 33-31, 25-14 in a keenly contested match to complete the semi-final line up.

The final matches are scheduled tomorrow.
