AIFF U-18 Elite League : Classic FA exit with shoot-out loss to Football 4 Change Academy

Imphal, April 23 2026:
Classic FA, Chingmeirong exited AIFF U-18 Elite League with a 3-4 penalty shoot-out loss to Football 4 Change Academy, Kangpokpi after a 2-2 regulation time draw in the first quarterfinal match this morning at Ramsar Sahib Sports Stadium, Paddi Sura Singh.
In the all-Manipuri teams' quarter final clash, Classic FA squandered a 2-goal lead as Football 4 Change Academy fought back to make the final scoreline read 2-2 before coming out 4-3 winners in the shoot-out.
Kshetrimayum Langamba handed Classic FA the lead in the 22nd minute before Ningreiso Kasar doubled the advantage off a penalty kick in the 43rd minute.
Football 4 Change Academy, however, halved the deficit courtesy of Suantak Lunsanglian Vaiphei in the 45th minute before substitute Thonggoumang Touthang closed out the gap in the 88th minute.
As neither team could break the deadlock in the remaining portion of the game, the winners were decided via penalty shoot-out wherein Football 4 Change emerged victorious with Mangaolen Khongsai, Kishor Tiwari, Lalchhanchhuaha and Thonggoumang Touthang finding the target.
For Classic FA, Sanjoy Katwal, Maharabam Roshan and Ningreiso Kasar managed to score from the spot as Langoljam Vivekraj missed his target and Maisongthonbou saw his shot saved.
Group D winners TYDA, Toubul will play Group C runners up Zinc Football Academy in the third quarterfinal match tomorrow from 4.30 pm at Ramsar Sahib Sports Stadium, Paddi Sura Singh.
