14th Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament : FC Neikanlong, NKYCL storm into pre-quarterfinals

Imphal, October 22 2025: FCN, Neikanlong and NKYCL, Naorem posted comprehensive league round victories to storm into the pre-quarterfinals of the 14th Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament.

In a Group H match staged this morning, FCN crushed ZMYYC, Ze Mnui by 8-0 goals to set up a pre-quarterfinal date with NKYCL, Naorem.

Afridi Bayamayum shone with a double hat-trick (4', 13', 15', 32', 40', 55') in the FCN's big win as he scored at will while Chidihen Riamei (9', 36') netted twice.

Later in a Group F match, NKYCL rode on trebles from Poireihanba (1 ', 10', 49') and Gaikhaningpou (22', 61', 64') to set up a 8-2 win against Kadi FC as Poukingai (40+2') and Ton (72') added a goal apiece.

For Kadi FC, Wichambou (7') and Manaijinbou (53') were on target.

In a Group G match staged later in the day, GUFA, Gaipuinam thumped TYC, Tarung by 2-0 goals but failed to make it to the pre-quarterfinals.

The goals that set up the win for GUFA were scored by Gaizianthui (50') and Asem Jackson (58') .
