Imphal, June 22 2025: 7-Star Heirok beat Parash FC 6-5 on penalties to seal the title of the 3rd Maipakpi Trophy 9-a-side football tournament organised by Mangal Foundation, Heirok and Maipakpi Organising Committee in association with City Club, Heirok Litan Makhong.

The two sides remained unseparated till the end of the regulation time this afternoon at Heirok Litan Makhong Part II and the winners were decided via penalty shoot-out wherein Shital, Johnson, Jenish, Chingkhei, Aron and L Johnson scored to earn 7-Star Heirok the 6-5 win.

For Parash FC, only Arif, Zidhan, Suraj, Umakanta and Rajdhan found the target in the shoot-out.

Tomba of Mukhai FC emerged top scorer of the tournament on 9 goals as Dina of 7-Star, Suresh of 7-Star, Anaoba of Parash FC were respectively named best goalkeeper, best defender and best player of the tournament.

Umakanta of Parash FC was also named player of the final match as Leikai FC, Yaiskul were adjudged best discipline team.

The winners, runners up, best discipline teams and individual prize winners were feted during the valedictory function that was attended by Th Satyabrata, Speaker, Manipur Legislative Assembly; Tonjam Romen, president City Club, Heirok; Thokchom Ibochouba, husband of Late Thokchom Maipakpi; Dr Y Radheshyam, MLA Hiyanglam AC; Thokchom Radheshyam, MLA Heirok AC; L Rameshwor, MLA Keirao AC; T Robindro, MLA Thanga AC; Sheikh Noorol Hassan, MLA Kshetrigao AC; K Robindro, MLA Mayang Imphal AC and Thangjam Aronkumar, MLA Wangkhei AC as presidium members.
