KVWA, MPSC crowned men and women's handball champions

Imphal, May 22 2025: KVWA, Mayang Imphal and MPSC were crowned men and women's champions in the 47th State Level Senior Men and Women Handball Tournaments, 2025 hosted by Kongpal Kongkham Leikai Youth Development Organisation (KKLYDO) at its ground under the aegis of the Manipur Handball Association.

In the final matches staged yesterday, KVWA defeated MPSC by 33-17 goals to earn the men's title as MPSC women's team bagged the top honour beating IMC, Thoubal by 22-20 goals in a closely fought final match.

Kh Ratan (8), A Tondonba (7) and Sh Samuel (4) gathered 19 goals to fashion KVWA a big win against MPSC yesterday in the men's final as O Yaikhomba added three goals and Th Yaiphaba, A Premson and Roshikant added two goals apiece and Shitaljit, Dayananda, Yaikhomba and Manichandra scored one goal each.

The Rabi (8) and Th Hemanta (4) meanwhile led the scoring for MPSC while H Ingocha (2), N Saratchandra (2) and N Gobin (1) contributed five goals.

In the women's final, M Dimple (8), N Sunibala (5) and N Babina (4) contributed 17 goals as Sushila (2), Ng Khomeiton (2) and Ksh Apabi (1) added 5 goals to set up the 22-20 win for MPSC.

Th Anjubala (8), Th Jenibala (5) and I Ronibala (3) in the meantime led the scoring for IMC as Th Roshibala (2), L Umapati (1) and Th Ranjita (1) managed five goals.
