Imphal, January 22: The first Loktak Trophy 2008 State Level Invitation Football Tournament organised by All Moirang Football Association under the sponsorship of NHPC Ltd, Loktak Power Station began today with MBSU, Wahengbam Leikai carving out a 2-1 win over TRUGPU, Nambol at the Moirang Multi-purpose Higher Secondary School ground.

The next match on January 24 will feature KLASA and KRYPSA.

Longmai football: The 1st Longmai Area Football Tournament organised by Zeliangrong Students' Union, Longmai (Noney) area has been rescheduled to commence from February 5 instead of the previously announced January 29-31 tournament period.
