YPHU, NAPSA victorious in Mema Memorial Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament

Imphal, March 21 2025: YPHU, Lalambung and NAPSA, Kha Imphal emerged victorious in today's matches of the ongoing 2nd Khomdram Ongbi Hijam Mema Devi Memorial Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament.

In the 10th match of the tournament, YPHU bowled out CYCLONE, Thangmeiband for 105 runs in 16.3 overs before chasing down the target in 13.1 overs thanks to Jinta 29 off 18, Thenthen 26 off 26, Hemanta 16 off 11 and Alai 13 not out off 12 .

Rohendro 26, Tarun 17, Sashi 16 and Robinson 15 made double digit scores for CYCLONE after they opted to bat first before the remaining order fell cheaply.

Kumarkanta (3/25) and S Arun (2/15) of YPHU were at the forefront of the bowling department in this innings.

For CYCLONE, Rohendro returned with the best bowling figures of 3/16 in 3 overs.

Kumarkanta was adjudged man of the match.

In the 11th match, NAPSA rode on Premananda's 45-ball 63 to post 152/7 as they opted to bat first and restricted TCMDC, Thongju to 102/7 to seal a 50-run victory.

Goutam 21 off 27 and Somorendro 18 off 18 followed Premananda in the NAPSA's innings that saw Bijesh claiming 4 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs.

For TCMDC, Gulshannanda 30 and Naobi 23 not out were the leading run scorers as Ibobi (3/19), Gopal (2/32) and Bhogendro (2/11) of NAPSA shared 7 wickets.

Premananda of NAPSA was eventually adjudged man of the match.
