AIFF U-18 Elite League : TYDA roll on with 3-0 rout of FC Madras, ASUFII post 3-1 win over East Bengal FC

Imphal, April 20 2026: TYDA thumped FC Madras by 3-0 goals for the second straight Final Round Group D win in the AIFF U-18 Elite League as ASUFII FA edged East Bengal FC by 3-1 goals to keep their knock-out hopes alive in the Group C competition.

Coming off from a 3-1 win over FAO Academy, Cuttack in their league opener, Toubul based TYDA faced a stiff opposition from FC Madras this evening at Ramsar Sahib Sports Stadium, Paddi Sura Singh but successfully wore down their rivals and stunned them with 3 late goals to extend their winning run.

TYDA skipper Naorem Goutam found the breakthrough in the 82nd minute before Salam Tomthin doubled the advantage in the next minute.

TYDA pressed for more goals in the late stages and Salam Tomthin was on target yet again deep 7 minutes into the stoppage time to set up the 3-0 win.

In a Group C match staged earlier this morning at Football Stadium, Mahilpur.

ASUFII FA clawed back into the group competition by defeating East Bengal FC 3-1 .

Ringkon Khaidem opened the scoring for ASUFII FA in the 25th minute before Ringsangmi LW (30') and Wangkheirakpam John (39') took their turns to further swell the lead to 3-0 .

East Bengal FC who struggled to find the target for a major portion of the game found the consolation goal late in the 88 th minute through Chesam Yahiya who subbed in for Samuel Onthanglen Haokip in the 61st minute.
