Imphal, December 18 2013: The formal inauguration of the grass hockey ground in Takyelpat complex of SAI NERC has been held today with SAI NERC Imphal Director Dr Subash Basumatary dedicating the facility to the players.

A friendly match between SAI NERC Imphal and MPSC was also played as part of the inauguration programme of the ground, which has been in existence since 1986.Among others, SAI STC Imphal Centre in-charge K Mi-chael, SAI Centre of Excellence in-charge Th Ibotombi, Head of Sports of SAI NERC Imphal K Kosna Meitei, SAI hockey coach P Baljit, former international Shakuntala and Olympian P Nilakomol and SAI coaches were also present at the occasion.
