Powerlifting Association Manipur team flagged off

Imphal, August 17 2025: A team of Powerlifting Association Manipur were flagged off today for the Senior National Powerlifting (Equipped and Non Equipped) Championships and National Bench Press Championships 2025 beginning tomorrow.

The championships will be held at Milanee Hall, Bistupur, Jamshedpur under the aegis of the Indian Powerlifting Federation.

The players who left Imphal for the championships are as follows.

Junior: Wahengbam Keilash (66 kg), Wahengbam Mohendrajit (66 kg), Khagembam Ricky (66 kg), Th Tomthinganba (74 kg), Maibam Shivananda (83 kg), Haobijam Dipak (93 kg), Oinam Dhaneshwori (84+ kg);
Senior: Keisham William (66 kg), Chabungbam Shitaljit (74 kg), N Kiranjit (74 kg), W Minakumar (74 kg), Potshangbam Suraj (74 kg), Nongthombam Murgesan (74 kg), L Ginot (83 kg), Moinam Akber (83 kg), L Roshandro (83 kg), W Jayentakumar (83 kg), Moirangthem Bobo (83 kg), Mutum Boney (93 kg), Konjengbam Premjit (93 kg), Thoudam Rajiv (105 kg), Huidrom Irabanta (105 kg), Thingbaijam Premmojit (120 kg), Ningthoujam Gunileima (52 kg), and Huidrom Olibiya (72 kg) .

Chabungbam Shitaljit, N Kiranjit, Potshangbam Suraj, Nongthombam Murgesan, W Jayentakumar, Moirangthem Bobo, Konjengbam Premjit, Huidrom Irabanta, and Thingbaijam Premmojit will also compete in Masters I category in the championships.

Thingbaijam Premmojit and Ngangom Kunjabihari are leading the team as coach and manager respectively.
