UCFC, AIM seal second straight victories in 3rd Premier League

Imphal, October 16 2025: UCFC, Chandel and AIM, Khabam posted identical 2-1 wins to extend their winning run to two games apiece in the ongoing 3rd Premier League at SSC ground.

In the 14th match of the tournament, UCFC, who had beaten ABA 4-3 in the opening round, sealed the 2-1 win against All Moirang Football Association (AMOFA), Moirang.

AMOFA, who suffered a 1-2 loss in the previous match, drew first blood when Khangembam Kishan found the back of the UCFC net.

UCFC however resurged after the restart with the players working in tandem until Thaokung Malchong drew level in the 56th minute.

Shirinmi Kazingmei then hit the winner late in the 76th minute.

Later in the day, AIM who thrashed SSC, Sekta 3-0 for their first win, rode on a late brace from Moirangthem Basanta (74', 80') to seal a 2-1 win over Sang-gai Heroes (SGH) .

The two sides entered the break goalless until Konthoujam Bobosana ended the goal drought in the 73rd minute to give SGH the lead.

Basanta of AIM, however, cancelled the lead the very next minute before scoring the winner in the 80th minute.
