SSU mourns demise of Kh Meghachandra

Imphal, August 16 2025: The Southern Sporting Union (SSU), Singjamei Kakwa has mourned the demise of its former player Khumukcham Meghachandra on August 9 at his residence at Kakching Khunou Thingnam Bokul Leikai.

In a condolence message, SSU expressed its shock over the untimely demise of the former 2001 Sir Churachand Singh KCSI CBE Memorial All India Invitational Football Tournament winner with SSU .

A condolence meeting chaired by Kh Ibopishak, president SSU was held at the club premises this morning, it said.

The members and players present observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul, it said.

His contribution and invaluable service to the growth and success of the club will never be forgotten, it said while further extending condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family members.

SSU also prayed that Meghachandra's soul may rest in eternal peace.
