Vinoo Mankad Trophy Plate : Manipur's three game winning streak end with 8-wicket loss to Sikkim

Manipur's three game winning streak in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy Plate Group came to an end today withan 8-wicket loss to Sikkim at GMSSS Sec-26 Cricket Ground in Chandigarh today.
The State U-19 men's team who had secured landslide victories against Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, and Mizoram were put in to bat first today as Sikkim won the toss, but were dismissed for 196 in 39.3 overs as Inzamamul and Aadnan struck in regular intervals.
Sikkim then cruised to the winning 199 within 29.1 overs with 8 wickets left to spare courtesy of Inzamamul's 60-ball 102 quickfire.
Manipur had a sloppy start and were reduced to 31/2 in 6.3 overs as Abi of Sikkim inflicted early damage by removing Thoiba (13) and Sougaijam Rain (9) before Thokchom Lucky and Warokpam Max gathered the highest partnership of 44 runs off 42 balls to give Manipur some relief.
Lucky's departure on 41 (off 30 balls; 3 fours and 3 sixes) for the third wicket to Inzamamul marked the gradual crumbling of the State batting order as Inzamamul went on to pick the wickets of Max (15) and Zamir (4) to complete his haul of three wickets.
Danish who came in at number 7 breathed life into the game by hitting 5 fours and 4 sixes on the way to his 50-ball 58 and took Manipur past the 150-run mark along with U Rain (15) and N Bisal (4) .
Danish was however dismissed for the 8th wicket by Aadnan who had early trapped Rain lbw to pile further pressure on Manipur before bowling out Oinam Reolin for the 9th wicket.
Pema then set up Tamarland catch on 16 for the 10th wicket to fold up the Manipur innings at 196.Adnan returned with the best bowling figures of 3/32 in his spell of 10 overs as Inzamamul finished with 3/61 in 10 overs and Abi posted 2/ 24 in 5 overs.
In response, Sikkim had a swift start before Yumnam Chingkhei Nganba found the breakthrough in removing Aadnan on 23 in the first delivery of the 9th over as the scoreboard read 66.Inzamamul who was with Aadnan for the opening partnership stood firm to complete his century and a remarkable partnership of 92 runs off 72 balls with Denree.
Tamarland however managed to bowl out Inzamamul on 107 (off 60 balls; 14 fours and 6 sixes) for the second wicket in the 1 st delivery of the 20th over as the scoreboard read 158.Much damage was done by then and Denree (43 not out off 61 balls; 4 fours and 2 sixes) and Sahil (16 off 27 balls; 2 fours) produced an unbeaten 41-run partnership off 55 deliveries to seal the victory.
Manipur will play Nagaland in the final Plate Group match on October 17 at Tau Devi Lal-PKL in Chandigarh.
