46th Senior State Handball Championships : MPSC to face KVWA in men's final, MPSC vs YLK in women's final

Imphal, May 15 2024: MPSC will lock horns with KVWA, Mayang Imphal in the men's title clash while MPSC will play YLK, Chingarel Tejpur in the women's final match of the ongoing 46th Senior State Handball Championships at Mairenkhong Rising Club's playground tomorrow.

In the men's competition, MPSC entered the final with a 32-26 win over YLK Chingarel Tejpur in the first semi-final match while KVWA saw out ESU, Wangkhei 28-10 .

Bikramjit produced a noteworthy performance scoring 16 goals alone for YLK in the first semi-final match.

His efforts however went in vain as Th Robi (9), H Ingocha (7), N Saratchandra (5), Sushil (4) and Hemanta (4) put in a concerted effort to seal the victory for MPSC.

Gobin (2) and Becker Roy (1) also contributed three goals in MPSC win as Lakpati (5), Prabin (2), Nandakeshor (1), Shilheiba (1) and Abijit (1) also found the net for YLK.

Tondonba (6), Ratan (4) and Dayananda (3) in the meantime led the scoring for KVWA against ESU.

Kiranjit, Samuel, Shitaljit, Yaiphaba, Premson, Roshikant, and Manichandra also scored two goals apiece to inspire KVWA a commanding win as Yaikhomba and Mocha added a goal apiece.

Romario (3) and Babananda (2) in the meantime led the scoring for ESU as Ortega, Goutam, Raju, Raj and Shashikanta scored a goal each.

The final match is set to begin at 3 pm .
