Longmai-II's EEV emerge winners of Inter-School Football Tournament

Imphal, October 11 2025: EEV (Excellent Education and virtue) Longmai-II were crowned the champions of the Inter-School Football Tournament organised by 86 Battalion CRPF with a 3-1 win over Berean Baptist Academy Khumji-II in the final at at Longmai Common Ground, Noney district headquarters.

The three-day tournament was organised as a part of Khelo India campaign in collaboration with the Longmai Students' Union (LSU) and under the aegis of the IG CRPF, M&N Sector, said a press release issued by Second in Command-86 Bn CRPF, Lamphelpat.

The closing ceremony was graced by Padmashree Kunjarani Devi, Commandant, GC CRPF Langjing, Imphal as chief guest; W Nandini Devi, Second-in-Command, 86 BN CRPF, as guest of honour and Janguanglung Gangmei as the event president.

Officers of 86 BN CRPF, leaders of the Longmai Students' Union, and representatives from various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) also attended the event, it said.

Addressing the gathering, the chief guest lauded the organizers for initiating such a meaningful event beyond regular classroom activities, promoting outdoor engagement and encouraging students to explore their hidden talents.

She further urged young players to uphold team spirit, discipline, and mutual coordination in all their endeavors.

A total of eight schools participated in the tournament.
