Longjam Anilkumar wins Senior Group A title at 2nd Manipur Yogasana Championship

Longjam Anilkumar Singh emerged the winner of the Senior Group A (traditional) title at the 2nd Manipur Yogasana Championship, 2025 which was held today here at Kangabam Yumjao Lairembi Multipurpose Community Hall.
The championship which will also serve as the trial selection for the 37th National Yogasana Championship, 2025 to be held at Nagpur, Maharashtra from August 29 to 31, was organised by the Manipur Yoga Society.
The championship organised for different age and gender groups saw a healthy participation from 90 yoga practitioners.
While Longjam Anilkumar won the Senior Group A (+23 to 30 Years), Salam Philip was adjudged second.

Other results (traditional)
Maimom Yaingamba and Meiteikanba Paonam sealed the first and second position in the competition for Novice boys (between 6 and 10 years) as Nancy Thokchom, Phamdom Debaya Chanu and Lanchenbi Oinam earned the top three positions in the Novice girls event.
In the sub-junior boys (+10 to 14 Years) competition, 1.Sapam Rock, Waikhom Rajesh and Gelin Laishram sealed the top three positions in order as Kshetrimayum Lucia, Thingujam Hiyainu and Thadoi Ahongsangbam secured the top three positions in the girls competition.
The junior boys' (+14 to 18 Years) title went to Thoudam Raju Meitei as Nongthombam Deeru and Hijam Lanchenba secured the second and third places.
Wangkhem Silvia Devi in the meantime emerged junior girls' winner.
Youth boys' (+18 to 23 Years) title was meanwhile fetched by Sapam Rishikumar who finished ahead of Moirangthem Robinson Singh while Ningombam Andee Devi sealed the youth girls' title finishing ahead of Angom Susmilia and Mayanglambam Rojipriya Devi.
Meanwhile, the Senior Women's Group A (+23 to 30 Years ) title went to Ningthoujam Thajamanbi Devi who finished ahead of Wahengbam Ronibala Devi.
Moirangthem Nipamacha Singh and Thingbaijam Bidyasagar Singh meanwhile claimed the top two positions in the Senior Men's Group B (+30 to 40 Years) event as Ngangbam Deviyarani, Pungsumbam Sonia Devi and Maharabam Binata Devi sealed the top three places in the women's Group B event.
The day also saw Ningthoujam Bheigyachandra Singh win the Master-I Men's event (40 to 50 Years) as Ayekpam Bedashastri Devi, Soibam Mema Devi and Sapam Chaoba Devi were adjudged 1 st, 2nd and 3rd.Wahengbam Priyokumar, Elangbam Suvash and Nongthombam Joy Singh in the meantime finished top three in the Master-II men's group (+50 to 65 Years) as Maibam Sanahanbi Devi, Mangsidam Shatyabati Devi and Elangbam Brojeswori Devi sealed the top three positions in the Master-II women's event.
.1Sougrakpam Ratankumar, Ninthoujam Jit and Huidrom Angou meanwhile earned the top three position in the Masters-III Age Group event (+65 Years & Above) as Konjembam Leimatombi, Leimapokpam Suniti and Khwairakpam Memcha sealed the top three position in the women's event.
Rhythmic Yoga results
Sapam Rockand Thingujam Hiyainu were adjudged winners in the 10-14 Years boys and girls Rhythmic Yoga competition.
Ningthoujam Thajamanbi in the meantime finished winner in the 23-30 years Rhythmic Yoga competition as Ngangbam Deviyarani Devi sealed the top position in the 30 - 40 Years' competition.
