Durand Cup roadshow and trophy showcasing event today

Imphal, July 09 2025: As Durand Cup return to Manipur for the second time, the promotional roadshow and trophy showcasing of the event is all set to be held tomorrow in the presence of Olympic silver medallist and former world weightlifting champion Saikhom Mirabai Chanu and high ranking army officials.

As per a press release issued by DIPR, the roadshow will begin from Sendra, Loktak Lake at 10.30 am and cover prominent routes in Imphal before culminating at the City Convention Centre, Imphal.

The trophy showcasing ceremony will be graced by the Governor Aay Kumar Bhalla and Chief Secretary Prashant Kumar Singh, at the City Convention Centre following the conclusion of the tour.

President Droupadi Murmu had on July 4 officially flagged off the trophies from the Rashtrapati Bhavan on July 4 .

Durand Cup 2025 (134 th Edition) will run from July 23 to August 23.Imphal is all set to witness thrilling Group F showdown featuring teams viz- TRAU FC, NEROCA FC, INDIAN NAVY FT, and REAL KASHMIR FC�at the iconic Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.

Football fans can look forward to six intense matches of Manipur leg spread across seven dates, beginning July 30 (Wednesday) with the Imphal derby between TRAU FC and NEROCA FC, followed by remaining matches on August 1 (Friday), August 4 (Monday), August 7 (Thursday), August 10 (Sunday), and August 12 (Tuesday), said DIPR .

All matches are scheduled to start at 4 pm, promising high-energy action and fierce competition.

The Imphal Chapter is expected to draw large crowds, with supporters turning up in full force to cheer for their favourite teams.

The venues for the knockout stage is yet to be announced.
