SHADOW, PTRC emerge victorious in 2nd U-15 Women's One Day Trophy

Imphal, February 09 2025: SHADOW, Thangmeiband and PTRC, Patsoi Part IV sealed their second wins today in 6 matches in the ongoing 2nd U-15 Women's One Day Trophy.

SHADOW defeated YPHUC, Lalambung by 127 runs at THAU ground, Thangmeiband to earn their second win courtesy of Sagatpam Henthoibi's leading bowling performance.

YPHUC won the toss and let SHADOW to bat first in this match and saw SHADOW amass 209 runs for 8 wickets thanks to Moirangthem Nirupama's unbeaten 63 off 104 balls and 77 extras.

Mutum Divika (3/24 in 4 overs) and Suchitra Waikhom (2/38 in 6 overs) shared 5 wickets for YPHUC as three others picked a wicket apiece.

Chasing 210 for the win, YPHUC faced a torrid time and were restricted to 82 runs for 9 wickets despite getting 55 extras as none of the batters managed double digit scores.

Sagatpam Henthoibi starred with a three wicket haul (3/17 in 6 overs) and Victoria Thokchom claimed two wickets (2/15 in 6 overs) for SHADOW as Moirangthem Bebenao, Chandam Priyadasni and Hanglem Malemnganbi claimed a wicket apiece.

Sagatpam Henthoibi was eventually adjudged player of the match.

Elsewhere at PCC ground, PTRC crushed Al-Ameen by 106 runs by successfully defending a monumental total of 299/10 .

Electing to bat first, Laitonjam Linthoi (56 off 65 balls) and Laitonjam Benita (51 off 47 balls) hit half centuries and Al-Ameen bowlers conceded 124 extras to inspire PTRC a huge total of 299 runs.

Laintonjam Benita (3/38) and Laishram Bigyapati (3/38) then shared 6 wickets to restrict Al-Ameen to 193/8 in the chase.

Linthoi Khulem had earlier picked four wickets (4/32) and Farhana claimed two wickets (2/56) for Al-Ameen.

Laitonjam Benita who produced an all-round performance was adjudged player of the match.
