3rd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy : Al-Ameen beat TCMDC by 6 wickets to cap league campaign on winning note

Imphal, May 07 2025: Al-Ameen, Lilong notched up a 6-wicket win against TCMDC, Thongju Part II Pechu Lampak by 6 wickets to end 3-game their winless run and cap their Group B campaign in the 3rd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy on a winning note.

TCMDC won the toss and opted to bat first at Kongba Dhobi Lampak before they folded up their innings at 129/ 8 in 35 overs.

Al-Ameen then fought their way to the target in 26.3 overs with 6 wickets left to spare as Farhana spearheaded with a 60-ball 55.TCMDC started positively after electing to bat first but rattled and reduced to 88/3 in 18.4 overs as Sanjida swept the top three batters before removing Ch Priyadashini on 9 for the fifth wicket to return with the best bowling figures of 4/36 for Al-Ameen.

Linthoi Khulem then further left the TCMDC batters in tatters by sweeping three consecutive wickets including 7th and 8th wickets in the 32nd over to reduce the team to 128/8 in 34.5 overs and finished with second best bowling figures of 3/14 for Al-Ameen.

In reply, Farhana struck 7 fours on the way to his 60-ball 55 and took Al-Ameen past the 100-run mark before she was bowled out by Yensembam Nikita for the third wicket at 103.Khulem Linthoi 12 not out and Najiya Begum 2 not out then finished off the chase in 26.3 overs.

Y Nikita had also undone Farhana and Tampakmayum Rubiaa Banu earlier and eventually finished with the best bowling figures of 3/20 for TCMDC.

Sanjida who led the impressive Al-Ameen bowling attack was adjudged player of the match.
