Imphal, October 06 2026: DC Chandel Trophy 1st Division Football League organised by the District Sports Association, Chandel, kicked off today at District Sports Complex, Chandel Christian.

8 teams clubbed into two pools are participating in the tournament.

In the Pool A opening match staged this afternoon, Chandel Christian YC edged past Monsang Pantha YCC 2-1 .

Rolish Ngoruh gave Monsang Pantha YCC the lead in the 18th minute but ST Konitha equalised it for Chandel Christian YC in the 24th minute before NL Inglungam scored the winner in the 65th minute.

In the Pool B match staged earlier in the day, Chakpikarong YC and Angkhelchayang YC played out a goalless draw.
