3rd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy : Bijiya dazzles as AKSDO steamroll Al-Ameen by 211 runs

Khundrakpam Bijiya produced a masterful knock of 109 not and led the bowling charge to help AKSDO, Khangabok romp to a 211-run win over Al-Ameen Lilong in a Group B match of the ongoing 3rd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy.
AKSDO won the toss and chose wisely to bat first at THAU ground today.
They amassed a humongous total of 291 runs for no loss as Moirangthem Daina 117 not out off 104 balls (14 fours) and Bijiya 109 off 116 (11 fours) punished the Al-Ameen bowlers with ease.
Al-Ameen bowlers not only failed to break the opening partnership but also conceded regrettably high 65 extra runs before they collapsed at 80 within 29.1 overs while chasing for the big target.
Farhana 17, Najiya Begum 12, Sanjida 12 and Laishram Langlenthoibi 10 were the only batters who managed double digit scores for the team as Bijiya (2/12), Khundrakpam Lucyrani (2/16) and Thokchom Alish (2/19) shared 6 wickets and Kh Rabina, L Linthoi and M Daina picked a wicket apiece.
Bijiya, who led AKSDO to the second win in three matches, was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, FORCE, Kshetrigao pulled off a huge 216-run victory against YPHUC, Lalambung to extend their Group A winning run to two games.
Neha blazed 130 off 101 balls and Barkatun Khanam 55 off 34 balls and 61 extras helped toss winners AKSDO rack up a commanding total of 298 runs for 7 wickets in 35 overs.
Chasing 299 for the victory, YPHUC folded up at 82/8 in the face of economical bowling performances from FORCE bowlers.
Waikhom Suchitra had earlier picked three wickets (3/55) while T Nilky, L Terina, Ch Joyshree and S Eriklembi chipped in with a wicket apiece for YPHUC before Irom Japani on 19 off 83 balls emerged only double digit run scorer for the team in reply.
Rahamatun Khanam returned with the best figures of 2/6 in her spell of 7 overs for the winners as Farjiya and Sadiya picked a wicket apiece.
Neha who shone with the bat for FORCE was declared player of the match.
