Women's Cricket : Creety Moirangthem, Robeni Usham shine as THAU demolish MPA

Imphal, January 30 2025: Creety Moirangthem's unbeaten knock of 182 runs and Robeni Usham's massive 178 helped THAU Thangmeiband dominate and demolish MPA Thounaojam at PCC Ground Maiyaikoibi, Imphal today.

The league matches of the 2nd MNCA Women's U-15 One Day Trophy today saw THAU Thangmeiband and FORCE Kshetrigao beating MPA Thounaojam and SHADOW Thangmeiband respectively.

THAU Thangmeiband beat MPA Thounaojam by a massive 379 runs. FORCE Kshetrigao beat SHADOW Thangmeiband by 68 runs.

THAU vs MPA

THAU won the toss and opted to face the ball first to amass 449 runs for 2 wickets in 30 overs.

In reply, MPA Thounaojam managed to score only 70 runs for 10 wickets in 22.4 overs.

THAU opener and captain, Robeni Usham built the tempo for the team with excellent batting.

Even as Surangini Kangabam (26/16) succumbed to a run out and Thoithoibi Ahongsangbam (13/13) fell quickly just a couple of overs later, Robeni continued to display exceptional batting and scored 178 runs off 93 balls.

Creety Moirangthem, who came in after Thoithoibi's fall, picked up the pace and knocked a massive 182 runs off 67 balls.

MPA's Chingtham Rushita Devi took one wicket.

Hopes crushed by their failures in fielding, MPA looked to regain confidence in batting, but a motivated and ignited THAU did impressive bowling and took what was remaining of the opponent.

MPA batters fell one after another as Konjengbam Nonibala Devi and Thoithoibi Ahongsangbam took 4 wickets each and Rajkumar Valentina Devi took one.

Yumnam Piyarilal Devi (5/19), Chongtham Rushita Devi (1/2), Yumnam Echapamu Devi (8/29), Chanambam Nevia Devi (2/42) and Yumnam Leisna Chanu (2/16) contributed to MPA's 70 runs.

FORCE vs SHADOW

At THAU Ground Thangmeiband, FORCE Kshetrigao won the toss and opted to bat first to amass 126 for 10 wickets in 28.1 overs.

SHADOW Thangmeiband lost all wickets and could score only 58 runs in 18.3 overs.

For FORCE, Rahamatun knocked 40 runs off 62 balls.

Sangomsumpham Sandiya (3/12), Wakila Shani (7/25), Farjiya (5/20), Nazmin Khanam (2/8), Aliya (1/9), Akida (3/19) and Ef Nazniha (1/5) contributed runs to FORCE's 126 .

SHADOW's Victoria Thokchom took 3 wickets and Moirangthem Bebenao took 2 wickets.

Chandam Priyadasni, Sagatpam Henthoibi and Laishram Geetanjali Chanu took 1 wicket each.

In SAHDOW's turn batting, only Kangabam Smita Devi (15/19) took digit runs.

Moirangthem Nirupama (2/26), Hanglem Malemnganbi (8/36) and Victoria Thokchom (6/9) contributed runs to SHADOW's 58 runs.

FORCE's Rahamatun took 5 wickets.

Her team-mates, Farjiya, Kh Ruksana and Nazmin Khanam took 1 wicket each.
