Chandel Super Divn League : Lambung YCC beat Chumbang FC in seven-goal thriller

Imphal, October 28 2024: Lambung YCC defeated Chumbang FC by 4-3 goals today in a keenly contested clash of the ongoing ADC Chandel Super Division Football League organised by DSA Chandel at Ziontlang playground to extend their winning run to two games.

Chumbang FC dominated the earlier proceedings and were leading by 2-1 goals in the opening half but Lh Shelpa led the Lambung YCC fightback with a treble and eventually earned his team a 4-3 win in this topsy turvy encounter.

Rengchunghoi gave Chumbang FC early 2-0 lead scoring successively in the 13th and the 26th minute before LH Shelpa pulled back a goal in the 38th minute.

After the restart, LH Shelpa scored two goals back to back in the 55th and the 68th minutes to overturn the lead before HL Thalpingam made it 4-2 with a 74th minute strike.

Chumbang FC fought back to cut the deficit by a goal through Ahong off a penalty in the 83rd minute but failed to sustain their momentum and eventually go down 3-4 .

It was second win for Lambung YCC in three matches after playing out a draw in their first match.
