37th Sub-Junior State Kabaddi Championships underway

Imphal, September 26 2026: The 37th Sub-Junior Boys and Girls' Manipur State Kabaddi Championships kicked off today at KISPWA playground, Karang.

Four matches for both the boys and girls were decided decided on the opening day.

In the Pool A opening match, KISPWA, Karang beat HS, Thanga 50-49 in a close contest as VETO, Laphupat Tera beat CCYPAC, Lilong 42-24 to open the Pool B campaign on a winning note.

In the following Pool C match, SLYO, Tekcham went down 39-19 to NAYA, Nongmaikhong while NYDA, Nongmaikhong beat LYDA, Laingoubi 47-24 for the first Group D win.

Meanwhile in the girls opening match (Pool C), HS, Thanga beat hosts KISPWA, Karang 37-29 .

In the following Pool A match, VETO beat SEDO, Nongmaikhong 51-17 as UPS, Kumbi beat LYDC 49-13 in the Pool B opener and NYDA beat CMA, Thanga Kunjes 60-17 in the Pool D opener.
