WAC, YAWA-A win junior and sub-junior titles in IW ASMITA Sepaktakraw League

Imphal, August 26 2026: WAC and YAWA-A were crowned the junior and sub-junior champions in Khelo India ASMITA Sepaktakraw League organised by the Imphal West District Sepaktakraw Association at ALSA ground, Top Siphai.

WAC defeated WVSD 17-16 15-9 to secure the junior girls title in the final of the 10-team league cum knock-out tournament.

Earlier in the day, WAC booked their place in the final by handing YAWA a 15-12 15-11 defeat while WVSD outlasted CYLC 15-11 15-5 to complete the final line up.

Earlier in the Group A league round, WAC beat YAWA 15-8, 17-15 for the first win before getting the better of ALSA 15-13, 15-12 and posting a 15-5, 15-9 win over SEDO .

YAWA meanwhile posted a 12-15, 15-12, 15-7 win over ALSA before defeating SEDO 15-7, 15-7 for the second win and a 15-5, 15-7 win over Model Club.

On the other hand, WVSD defeated CYLC 17-15, 15-10 before defeating OLYC 15-11, 15-7 and FUC 15-7, 15-6 to book their place in the semis from Group B .

CYLC in the meantime bounced back with a 15-9, 7-15, 15-9 win over OLYC before easing past FUC 15-8, 15-6 and confirmed their place in the semis.

Meanwhile, YAWA-A got the better of WVSD 15-6 15-11 to seal the sub-junior girls title.

YAWA-A earned their place in the final by defeating WAC 15-13 15-5 in the first semi-final match before WVSD eased to a 15-8 15-5 win over CYLC in the other semi-final match.
