Thoubal, June 26 2026: The 35th Manipur State Sub Junior Kho-Kho Championship 2026 organised by the Social Welfare Club (SWC), Khangabok under the aegis of the Manipur Amateur Kho-Kho Association (MAKKA) at two venues kicked off today.

The championship was formally opened this evening in the presence of O Surjakumar, MLA Khangabok AC; former Minister and MAKKA president, M Okendro; Dr Mayengbam Veto, Director YAS among others as presidium members.

16 boys' teams and 12 girls' teams clubbed into four pools each are competing for top honours in this tournament.

In the opening match of the tournament (Boys' Pool C), BASU beat WESC by 44-16 points.
