Imphal, September 25 2026: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has appointed Lairenjam Geetranjan Singh, secretary, Manipur Cricket Association (MNCA), as Match Observer for the 1st T20I between India and the West Indies, scheduled to be played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on October 6, 2026 .

The match will mark the opening fixture of the five-match T20I series between India and the West Indies.

The appointment is a proud moment for the Manipur Cricket Association and the cricketing fraternity of the State, and represents an important National-level assignment for a cricket administrator from Manipur, said MNCA in a press release.

It also reflects the confidence reposed by the BCCI in Lairenjam Geetranjan Singh's experience and contribution to cricket administration, it said.

MNCA also wished Lairenjam Geetranjan every success in this prestigious assignment and looked forward to his continued contribution to cricket administration at the National level.
