AKSDO thrash FORCE by 7 wickets in 3rd MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy

AKSDO, Khangabok returned to winning ways in the ongoing 3rd MNCA Senior Women's One Day Trophy after their second game loss as they trounced FORCE, Kshetrigao by 7 wickets here at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak.
FORCE won the toss and opted to bat first.
They however had a bat outing and ended up scoring a meagre total of 86 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted 35 overs with AKSDO bowlers producing frugal bowling performances.
AKSDO just took 19 overs to ease to the target losing three wickets to secure their second win in three matches in the 7-team tournament organised by the Manipur Cricket Association.
FORCE had a tough start to their innings as they slipped to 21 for 5 in 10 overs with Alish Thokchom trapping Rahamatun lbw on 5; Rabina Khundrakpam bowling out Sumeiya Shahni on duck; Laishram Linthoi removing Jyotika and Mehanaz on ducks and Sofiya Saikhom bowling Sadiya Shahni on 1 .
Alish dealt a blow to FORCE removing Barkatun Khanam on 8 for the sixth wicket before Khundrakpam Olebia removed E Firdos for the seventh wicket to reduce FORCE to 27/7 in the last delivery of the 12th over.
FORCE skipper Khadija who came in at 7 struggled to hold things together and scored an unbeaten 31 off 76 balls to help FORCE end the innings at 86/8 in 35 overs.
Laishram Linthoi returned with the best bowling figures of 2/6 in her spell of 4 overs as Thokchom Alish finished with bowling figures of 2/25 in 7 overs.
Chasing the low target for the victory, AKSDO lost Oleibia 4, Moirangthem Daina 1 and Alish 2 cheaply before Ningthoujam Taniya 35 and Ningthoujam Langlen 18 produced an unbroken partnership for the fourth wicket to steer the team to winning 87 in 19 overs.
AKSDO Alish who picked two wickets and pulled off a fine catch in E Firdos' dismissal was declared player of the match.
