ATFA Elite Squad to clash with ISL Manipur XI for charity on July 5

The Anganba Taibang Football Academy (ATFA) is set to host a high-profile fundraiser exhibition football match between the ATFA Elite Squad and ISL Manipur XI on July 5 at the historic Mapal Kangjeibung.
The official announcement was made today by Hamom Sadananda, renowned singer, actor, and chairman of the Organizing Committee, during a press briefing held at the Sangai Hall of Hotel Imphal.
Speaking at the conference, Sadananda highlighted that ATFA, based in Uripok, currently trains over 100 young, aspiring athletes.
He emphasized that the primary objective of this exhibition match is to gamer crucial financial and moral support for the academy's operations.
"The academy was founded to nurture local talent and celebrate our region's deep-rooted football culture.
This event aims to drive youth engagement and strengthen grassroots development," Sadananda stated, while passionately appealing to football enthusiasts across the state to come out in large numbers to support the cause.
Providing operational insights, Huirom Lenin, convenor of the Organizing Committee, announced that the highly anticipated clash is scheduled for a 3 pm kickoff, with the stadium gates opening to fans at 12:30 pm.
To ensure maximum public participation, ticket prices have been kept highly accessible at just Rs 50, he said while urging the public to witness the exciting showdown between the rising academy stars and elite Indian Super League (ISL) players, thereby contributing directly to the academy's growth.
While the exact roster for the ISL Manipur XI is currently being finalized, said Lenin while assuring that preparations are underway at a rapid pace and the star-studded lineup will be officially unveiled shortly.
