4th MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament : RCA, KSDO stroll into semi-finals

Imphal, February 22 2025: RCA, Lilong and KSDO, Kyamgei stormed into the semi-finals of the 4th MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament with comprehensive wins today.

In the first quarterfinal match of the tournament staged today at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, KSDO notched up an easy 7-wicket win over AMCA, Thoubal.

AMCA won the toss and elected to bat first but slumped to 112 all out in 26.3 overs and saw KSDO ease to the target in 20.1 overs with 7 wickets left to spare.

Moichingmayum Md Yakin 20 not out off 21 balls, Sakir Maibam 20 and Maibam Anish 16 led the scoring for AMCA in an innings that saw Khutheibam Abu Sufiyan picking four wickets (4/16 in 6 overs) and the pair of Md Gunbas (2/24) and Mujahir (2/26) sharing four wickets.

In reply, Md Zuneid Shah scored an unbeaten 26 off 40 balls to steer KSDO to the target after Md Washim 18 and Khutheibam Abu Sufiyan 14 forged 31 runs for the first wicket.

Khutheibam Abu Sufiyan of KSDO was declared player of the match.

In the second quarterfinal match staged at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong, RCA bundled out NCA, Nambol for 49 runs in 20.2 overs before chasing down the target in 9.2 overs without any loss.

Farhan Ahmed enjoyed a four for (4/6) in his spell of 3.2 overs for RCA as Md Albas Khan (2/3 in 1 over), N Masud Alam (1/14), H Albaz Hussain (1/1 in 3 overs) and H Lucky Ahmed (1/12 in 3 overs) shared 5 wickets.

In reply, Md Albas Khan 22 and Farhan Ahmed 12 stitched together an unbeaten 50-run partnership to seal the victory.

Farhan Ahmed of RCA was eventually adjudged player of the match.
