Source: The Sangai Express

Imphal, June 20 2026: AMCA, Thoubal; AKSDO, Khangabok; TCMDC, Thongju Part II Pechu Lampak; and CDCC, Sagolband Salam Leikai all posted pre-quarterfinal wins to secure their place in the quarterfinals of the 4th MNCA Men's U19 One Day Trophy.

At Moijing Public Ground, CDCC held their nerves to beat YPHUC, Lalambung Makhong by 3 runs in a clash of bowlers at Moijing Public Ground to set up a quarterfinal date with RCA, Lilong.

YPHUC opted to field first and bundled out CDCC for a meagre total of 79 runs in 15 overs with Konsam Mangal (5/6 in 3 overs) and Birbal Irom (4/31) wreaking havoc across their rivals.

Their batting department however faltered badly in the chase and were dismissed for 76 runs in 23.1 overs as CDCC's Devis (5/29 in 7.1 overs), Sagatpam Lanchenba (3/6 in 8 overs) and Sahadat (2/13 in 4 overs) overhauled their bowling performance to walk away as winners.

Irom Ishor (29 off 71 balls) and Birbal Irom (20 off 25 balls) were the only double digit run getters for YPHUC in the chase.

Devis, who scored the highest 37 off 29 balls for CDCC in the first innings before enjoying a match defining fifer, was named player of the match.

At Khudeiband Lampak, AMCA beat PCC, Mayai Koibi by 26 runs to set up a quarterfinal date with PTRC, Patsoi Part IV .

Electing to bat first AMCA posted 192 runs for all wickets down in 40 overs before bundling out PCC for 166 runs in 37.2 overs despite Rahis Khan (52 off 33 balls; 6 fours and 3 sixes) and Lucky Thokchom (45 off 28 balls; 3 fours and 3 sixes) doing their best to hold things together.

Khulakpam Fariyaz (38 off 67 balls), Altaj (33 off 36 balls) and Hanif (32 off 48 balls) batted sensibly for AMCA in the first innings that saw Maverick Wakambam (4/45 in 8 overs), Moirangthem Hirachandra (2/29 in 8 overs), and Konthoujam Simon (2/18 in 5 overs) sharing 8 crucial wickets.

In reply, Rahis and Maverick (9) added 58 runs for the third wicket before Lucky and N Lamnganba combined for a 49-run fifth wicket partnership.

Their efforts fell short as the concerted bowling efforts from Maibam Anish (3/31), Kh Md Anish (2/21) and Thoubalmayum Mustakim (2/32) gradually took control of the innings and earned AMCA the 26-run victory.

Kh Fariyaz, who made 38 runs and picked a crucial wicket , was named player of the match.

Elsewhere at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, TCMDC pulled off a 5-wicket win over CYCLONE, Thangmeiband.

They will lock horns with YWC, Langthabal in the third quarterfinal match on June 22 at Khudeiband Lampak.

TCMDC chose wisely to bowl first today and dismissed CYCLONE for 97 runs in 29.3 overs courtesy of U Rain (4/14 in 7.3 overs), L Vishonath (2/15 in 7 overs), and Y Tomthinnganba (2/19 in 6 overs) before Yumnam Tomthinnganba anchored with an unbeaten 50 off 61 balls to take TCMDC to the winning 101/5 in 25.2 overs.

Thomsan Moirangthem top-scored with a 77-ball 52 for CYCLONE in the first innings before he picked three wickets (3/33 in 8 overs) in a lost cause.

Tomthinnganba, who shone with both the bat and the ball, deservedly claimed the player of the match trophy.

AKSDO outclass YUCC by 183 runs

AKSDO, meanwhile, overwhelmed YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel Leikai by 183 runs thanks to prolific bowling performances from Saikhom Kaiku (3/1 in 5 overs) and Saikhom Lanchenba (3/9 in 5 overs) .

Opting to bat first, AKSDO raised a modest total of 217 runs for all wickets down in 40 overs thanks to Laishram Samson's leading knock of 70 runs off 67 balls studded with 6 fours and 3 sixes.

Rajbir Khumanthem (4/36 in 8 overs), Shresth Oinam (3/35 in 6 overs), and Bidyashwor (2/41 in 8 overs) shone with the ball in the first innings before Rajbir emerged the highest run getter by YUCC on 10 off 18 balls.

Laishram Samson, who led the scoring for AKSDO, was adjudged player of the match.
