Konsam Jona Princie dazzles at Moscow Wushu Stars 2026, NSU greets

Imphal, April 20 2026: Konsam Jona Princie delivered top notch performances at the 11th Moscow Wushu Stars 2026 to win India a gold and a silver medal.

In the Moscow event, Jona who is making her senior debut this season, bagged the gold medal in the Taijiquan event and the silver medal in the Taijijian event.

Manipur origin athletes Achom Tapas, Hanjabam Langlentombi and Y Bonish also clinched a gold medal apiece for India at the event that will formally conclude tomorrow as Mayanglambam Suraj won a silver and a bronze medal in the Changquan and Daoshu competitions.

National Sports University (NSU), Imphal, expressed delight over Konsam Jona Princie's double medal feat at the Wushu competition hosted by Russia.

Jona Princie is the only daughter of Konsam Hemchandra and Konsam ongbi Yumkham Sarita of Khurai Konsam Leikai and is currently pursuing Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (BPES 4th Semester) at the National Sports University.

As she shone with two medals at the prestigious wushu event, Dr Shyam Sundar Rath, Vice Chancellor (O); Dr L Dibamani Singh, Registrar; Maisnam Chanu Liklainu (DFO); Dr N Amitrasen Singh (Director Extramural), along with all Officers, Faculty Members, and Staff of National Sports University extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for many more medals in the future.
