9th MNCA Plate Tourney: SSU, KCDO emerge victorious

Imphal, December 19 2024: SSU Singjamei and KCDO Kongpal emerged victorious in today's league matches of the 9th MNCA Plate Tournament 2024-25.SSU Singjamei Kakwa beat SDC Laipham Khunou by a massive 146 runs.

Khangabok Part-Ill Cherapur, KCDO Kongpal beat SU Sagolband by 5 wickets.

SSU vs SDC
At Lairenjam Public Ground, SSU Singjamei Kakwa won the toss and opted to bat first.

Anand Mangang knocked a massive 81 runs off 73 balls to help SSU amass 245 for 9 wickets in 35 overs.

Ningombam Sanjoy scored 32 runs off 19 balls and Shamurailatpam Deepankar Sharma took 30 runs from 29 balls.

SDC's Vinodkumar Singh took 3 wickets while N Rajiv and Krishnakanta Ngangkham took 2 wickets each.

Wakambam Henry Khaba and Irom Bipinkumar Singh took one wicket each.

SDC's chase for the target was however held by an impressive fielding at 99 runs for 10 wickets in 26.2 overs.

Only Kaleb Singh Kh and Aditya Thingnam managed to score 2 digit runs.

Kaleb Singh Kh scored 21 off 37 balls, and Aditya Thingnam took 10 from 27 balls.

SSU's Ningombam Sanjoy took 5 wickets.

Bindeshwor Sapam took 3 wickets and Saikhomba Thongam took 2 wickets.

KCDO vs SU
At Public Ground, SU Sagolband opted to bat first to score 148 for 10 wickets in 29.4 overs.

Kennedy Singh Karam scored 37 off 36 balls, and Anderson Keisham scored 29 off 42 balls.

KCDO's Md Ajizur Rahman took 3 wickets.

Netaji Konsam, Md Abdul Kayum and Devendro (Devlee Ksh) took 2 wickets each.

Ksh Dayananda took 1 wicket.

Even as SU did their best to wear down wickets, KCDO completed the chase in 22.4 overs scoring 152 runs for 5 wickets.

Devendro scored 38 off 29.Netaji Konsam scored 33 runs from 25 balls.

Hafiz Imran scored 23 runs from 27 balls.

SU Sagolband's Dinu Sarangthem took 2 wickets.

Johnson Ningombam, Kennedy Singh Karam and Rajkumar Pritamkumar Singh took one wicket each.
