Imphal, September 19 2024: Indian Army hosted a friendly volleyball match at Torbung Bangla in Churachandpur district today.

A combined team from S Kwatlian and Pengjang villages played the friendly matches with a team from the Army unit deployed in the region, showcasing an impressive skills and sportsmanship, said PIB Defence Wing.

The local teams emerged victorious in the thrilling three set match.

The event was witnessed by an enthusiastic crowd from the villages, cheering for their respective teams, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie.

Army remains committed to community engagement through the sporting events, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and mutual understanding with local communities, said the Army.
