Imphal, April 19 2026: The Manipur State Badminton Association (MSBA) extended its heartiest congratulations to State's rising badminton stars, Rishav Ngangom and Kyoveio Mangsuan Vemai, for their extraordinary performance on the international stage this April.

The Men's Doubles (MD) U19 pair have brought immense pride to the State and the Nation by securing consecutive gold medals at two prestigious European tournaments, said MSBA in a press release.

The duo's exceptional run of form began at the Swedish Junior 2026, held in Uppsala, Sweden, from April 10-12, 2026 .

Displaying superior technique and remarkable coordination, they dominated their opponents to claim the championship title with a decisive 21-14, 21-14 victory in the finals, it said.

Maintaining their winning momentum, the pair traveled to Svilengrad, Bulgaria, for the 2026 Bulgarian Junior International, held from April 16-19, 2026 .

Facing strong international competition, Rishav and Kyoveio showcased great resilience and tactical maturity, clinching the final match with a score of 21-14, 21-17 to secure their second international gold medal in less than a week, it said.

Over their achievements, MSBA quoted its spokesperson saying - "We are immensely proud of Rishav and Kyoveio for their stellar achievements in Sweden and Bulgaria".

"Their dedication, intense training, and synergy on the court have truly paid off.

Bringing home two international titles in such a short span is a testament to their talent and hard work.
