Imphal, January 18 2025: State athletes who participated in the 16th National Senior Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2025 held at Belagavi, Karnataka from January 14 to 16 were accorded a warm reception upon their arrival at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport.

Among 13 athletes representing Manipur at the National championship, Sanjeeta won a bronze medal in the women's open bodybuilding competition while Laishram Neta (men's -60 kg bodybuilding) and Melson Nongmeikapam (men's 100+ kg bodybuilding) finished 4th and 5th in their respective weight events.

Sanjeeta trains at World Gym, Yaiskul while Laishram Neta trains at UGM, Naoremthong and Melson Nongmeikapam trains at Royal Gym, Ningomthong.
