1st MNCA Super Plate Tournament : KASC Khomidok register 6 wicket win; RCA Lilong beat ESU by 48 runs

KASC, Khomidok and RCA Lilong came out victorious at today's matches of the 1st MNCA Super Plate Tournament 2021-22 played at Langthabal Public Ground and Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium respectively.
In the match played between KASC and SDC Laipham Khunou, KASC won the toss and opted to field first.
SDC batting line-up tallied a total of 145 in 39.2 overs with a fall of 10 wickets as they were battered by KASC bowlers.
KASC bowler Md Farijuddin took 3 wickets in 8 overs and gave away 38 runs, Md Anjum Mm 2 wickets in 7 overs (including a maiden) and gave away 20 runs while Muhammad Javed Aktar also took 2 wickets in 8 overs for 32 runs.
Md Arif (5 runs off 3 overs and 1 wicket), Md Babu (1 wicket, 27 runs off 7.2 overs including a maiden) and Washim Akram (19 runs off 6 overs) restricted the SDC to 145 runs.

KASC's Md Najir Khan (35 runs in 106 balls), Muhammad Ali Karim (16 runs in 18 balls), Md Farijuddin (25 runs in 31 balls), Muhammad Javed Aktar (30 runs in 20 balls), Azaz Khan (6 runs in 13 balls, not-out) and Mohd Shahir Khan (7 runs in 10 balls, not out) to give the team a 6 wickets victory over SDC in 33 overs.
In another match played between RCA Lilong and ESU Wangkhei, RCA won the toss and opted to bat first.
RCA's Aziz Mirza struck an impressive 68 runs off 74 balls including 1 6 and 7 4s before he was bowled by Chongtham Mehul Shreth.
RCA batting line-up ended the run with 177 in the scoreboard including 13 extras and 2 wickets remaining.
ESU's bowlers Chongtham Mehil Shreth (3 wickets off 8 overs including 2 maidens and 23 runs), Oinam Moital (2 wickets, 23 runs in 5 overs), Surjit (2 wickets, 8 overs including 1 maiden, 23 runs) and Chitaranjan Sharma (1 wicket, 29 runs, 6 overs including 1 maiden) were unable to restrict the score under 150 .
RCA's MD Aqeel took 4 wickets off 8 overs (including a maiden) and gave away just 18 runs to aid the team in restricting the ESU players from showing any formidable performance as ESU ended the chase with just 129 runs as all the batsmen fell victim to RCA bowlers.
The game ended in a 48 run victory for RCA.
Md Farijuddin of KASC and Md Aqeel of RCA won the Men of the Matches award.
Meanwhile Manipur Cricket Association has informed that match number 43 between MAF and PCC (Group A) will be played on April 1 instead of March 26 at Langthabal Public Ground and the match number 47 between PSC and THAU (Group A) will be played on March 28 at Luwangpokpa.
