4th MNCA Men's U-19 One Day Trophy : AKSDO emerge as Group E toppers, YWC register fourth straight win

AKSDO, Khangabok crushed KCC, Kongba Bazar by 144 runs to finish Group E toppers as YWC beat YUCC by 2 runs for fourth straight Group C win in the 4th MNCA Men's U-19 One Day Trophy today.
In a Group E match staged at Model Hr Secondary School and Oriental College ground, AKSDO raised 223 runs for 9 wickets in 40 overs and bundled out KCC for 79 runs to register their fourth win and end Group E campaign unbeaten in 5 games.
Borish Mangang made 51 off 66 balls and Saikhom Kaiku added 34 off 36 runs to help AKSDO post the modest total before Saikhom Kaiku enjoyed a fifer (5/11 in 5.3 overs) and set up KCC collapse at 79 within 19.3 overs.
Niyas Khan (4/41 in 8 overs) was the pick of the KCC bowlers in the first innings before they fell flat in the chase.
Md Anish Khan also picked two wickets (2/39) for KCC.
Saikhom Kaiku was also well assisted by Chingamba Elangbam (2/10) and Punshiba Akoijam (2/4) in the second innings.
Saikhom Kaiku was deservedly named player of the match.
In another Group E match staged at Khudeiband Lampak, KASC, Khomidok beat SSC, Porompat by 8 wickets thanks to Md Ali Karim's fifer (5/13 in 4 overs) .
Elsewhere at Moijing Public Ground, YWC, Langthabal pulled off a 2 run victory over YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel for the fourth straight victory.
YWC opted to bat first but were bundled out for 155 runs in 32.5 overs as Loitongbam Joychand (3/24) and Shresth Oinam (3/12) shone with the ball for YUCC .
Chasing 156 for the win, YUCC slumped to 153 all out despite Bidyashwor's 84-ball 88 filled with 10 fours and 3 sixes as YWC's Pukhrambam Roshan (4/36 in 6 overs), Yumnam Athouba (2/34 in 8 overs) and Daneil Seram (2/15 in 5 overs) share 8 crucial wickets to derail their rivals' chase.
Pukhrambam Roshan was adjudged player of the match for his match defining performance.
