MU Inter College Men's Football Tournament : Kha-Manipur College vs Thambal Marik College in title clash

Imphal, November 14 2025: Thambal Marik College will lock horns against Kha-Manipur College in the title clash of the Ayekpam Pratap Singh Memorial Manipur University Inter College Men's Football Tournament hosted by Pole Star College, Hiyanglam-Wabagai.

In the first semi-final match staged today, Kha-Manipur College, Kakching beat Pravabati College, Mayang Imphal by 1 -0 margin to book their final ticket.

The lone goal that earned Kha-Manipur College the final berth was scored by Md Salman in the 69th minute at SWC Keirak Awang Leikai Kangjeibung.

In the second semi-final match staged later in the day, Thambal Marik College, Oinam won 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 regulation time draw with Kakching Khunou College to complete the final line up.

Y Devid scored the opener for Thambal Marik College in the 25th minute but Kakching Khunou returned into the game with N Rohijit scoring the equaliser in the 64th minute.

As the two sides failed to find the winner in the remainder of the game, the winners were decided via penalty shoot-out where-in N Abinash, M Arvind, N Lanchenba, N Bidyananda, and Kh Motilal scored to give Thambal Marik College the 5-4 win.

M Victor, S Wilbert, Kh Luhen and Kh Rohit were on target for Kakching Khunou College in the shoot-out.

The final match is slated for November 16 at SWC Keirak Awang Leikai Kangjeibung.
