Imphal, August 14 2026: The final line up of both the men and women's singles competitions of the 70th State Open Badminton Championships 2026 were completed today at Manipur State Badminton Association's indoor stadium, DMU campus.

BDBA shuttlers were unstoppable today against their IWDBA rivals as Martin Ingudam overwhelmed Thokchom Hursh Singh 15-5 15-7 before Hemam Malemnganba Singh eased past Chirom Bose Singh 15-4 15-8 .

Meanwhile in the women's singles semi-finals, Angita Naorem of IWDBA outlasted IEDBA's Biksiya Huidrom 15-9 15-7 and Angom Lanchenbi Devi edged out Laishram Nandita Devi 15-11 9-15 15-13 in an all-IEDBA clash.

The women's doubles final line up was also completed with IWDBA pair of Huidrom Velinda and Leimapokpam Diana Devi easing to a 15-3 15-8 win over SDBA's pair of Charainai Roziina and Lezhone.

IWDBA- KDBA pair of Leonie Tayenjam and Mayanglambam Somibala meanwhile outlasted Angita Naorem and Khangembam Senlina of IWDBA 15-9 9-15 15-12 to complete the final line up.

The day also saw Imphal West pair of Chingangbam Ritesh and Chirom Vikson getting the better of BDBA pair of Brikson Longjam and Hemam Malemnganba 15-11 16-14 to book their place in the final.

Ritesh and Vikson reached the semi-final with a 15-8 15-8 win over KDBA pair of Bikash Mayanglambam and K Dayananda Singh earlier in the day.

Brikson and Malemnganba meanwhile booked their semi-final ticket with a 16-14 15-13 win over IWDBA pair of Punsiba Khoirom and Shushilkumar Haobam.

The semi-final line up of the mixed doubles competition was also completed today.

Rajkumar Alen and Leimapokpam Diana won 15-11 15-8 over Ningombam Nandaraj Singh and Soraisam Kanchan Devi to make it to the semis as Konjengbam Nganba and Angita Naorem outlasted the pair of Wungmayo Vashum and Florence of Senapati 15-6 15-6 in the second quarterfinal match.

In the third quarterfinal match, Bidyasagar Salam and Mayanglambam Somibala prevailed 15-5 15-10 over Wahengbam James Singh and RK Miranda before Haobijam Rohenkumar and Chirom Bellarix paired up well to outlast Sirzeet Moirangthem and Huidrom Velinda 15-12 15-5 in the last quarterfinal match.

U19 Boys and Girls' Singles competitions

The day also saw the completion of the final line up of both the U19 Boys and Girls' singles competitions.

Sushanta Moirangthem of Kakching reached the U19 Boys' singles final with a 15-11 15-10 win over Martin Ingudam of Bishnupur while Thokchom Hursh Singh of Imphal West overcame L Kalo Truman of Senapati 15-11 15-11 in the second semi-final match.

Leonie Tayenjam meanwhile fought her way to the U19 Girls' singles final with a hardfought 15-12 15-10 win over Laishram Anjelia Devi before Angom Lanchenbi Devi completed the final line up with a 15-12 15-9 victory over Laishram Nandita Devi.

U17 Girls' singles competition

Laishram Anjelia Devi will lock horns with Chanulembi Sapam in the U17 Girls singles title clash.

Laishram Anjelia Devi eased 15-1 15-5 past Christina Sinam in the first semi-final today before Chanulembi Sapam got the better of K Sonakshi Singha 15-11 15-11 in the other semi-final encounter.

U15 Girls' singles competition

K Sonakshi Singha will face off against Moirangthem Jenelia Devi in the title clash of the U15 Girls' singles competition.

K Sonakshi Singha entered the final today with a hardfought 15-12 17-15 win over Sarungbam Archana Devi as Moirangthem Jenelia Devi beat Jia Sanabam 14-16 15-8 15-13 in an entertaining all Imphal West semi-final clash to complete the final line up.

Yangba in U15 Boys' Singles final

The day also saw Yangba Meitei Thokchom of IEDBA securing his final ticket by defeating IWDBA's Irabanta Chungkham 15-10 15-10 .
